Tripwire Translation Grants

Translation plays one of the most critical and vital roles in international literatures, but too often translators go unrecognized and unsupported. Tripwire Translation Grants are designed to provide support and recognition for translators of contemporary avant-garde and experimental writing. Translators receive $200 for translations of contemporary poems, prose, essays, and/or interviews. Translators should inquire with proposals or samples of their work for consideration.

Please donate what you can—even the smallest amount will add up.

Donations of $50 or higher will receive a special something.

Past recipients include: Jen Hofer, Guillermo Parra, Alireza Taheri Araghi, Steve Bradbury, Esteban A. Quispe, Sophie Seita, Jae Kim, Noah Mazer, H. Bolin, Edward Gunawan, Honora Spicer, Gizen Okulu, Zêdan Xelef, Biblioteca Popular Bruce Lee, Ilan Erikson-Weisbrod, Eléna Rivera…
